Basic Tricks to Pack Moving Boxes and Trucks
Packing for a move is similar to playing brick game. Filling boxes and loading them up in a van requires some techniques and skills. Most of the time, the skill needed to systematically pack items is inherent in most of us, although there are some people who might require a step-by-step guide to accomplish it. Let these simple tips help you fit as much stuff in your boxes and moving truck.
Tips in Packing Moving Boxes
If you are using used boxes, be sure that the bottom seams are sealed properly. This strengthens the capacity of the box to hold heavier items. When filling the boxes, try to fill it up to the top to maintain their shape. Make sure the box does not bulge so you can have a strong foundation when stacking them up.
When it comes to packing huge items such as the furniture, try to use a trolley or anything that has wheels to transport it. You can use a computer chair, skateboard or a wheel barrow to ease the loading and unloading process.
Loading the Truck
Most of the items must be boxed. Boxes are ideal because they don't take a lot of space. In case of furniture and large appliances, be sure to cover them with moving blankets before loading them into the truck. Start loading huge pieces first, going smaller and lighter towards the truck door. Don't forget to even out the weight of the items to ensure a smooth and secure transition.
